Closing the phosphate loop

Europe relies on imports for around 90% of its phosphate needs. SusPhos' patented wet-chemical process recovers phosphorus from sewage sludge ash and converts it into high-purity, market-ready products.

Unlike other wet-chemical recovery routes, the process generates no waste water and no filter cake — every input stream finds an outlet. Phosphate becomes fertilizer, the residual mineral fraction becomes a cement replacer, and process heat is recovered on site. What used to be landfilled is now a strategic secondary raw material.
